Keyboard fonts for Wilcom software are named as
*ESA files.
The folders that house your keyboard fonts are the WLETT or USERLETW folders.
Here, you will see all your available fonts eg Block1.ESA , Saeraa.ESA etc.
Fonts purchased should be copied to the relevant folder.
*Always keep a backup of ANY custom font, template or motifs.
Different software, will have different format extensions for their keyboard font data.
On the issue of 'recommended heights' , remember that this will never be static, and you may many times find this does not apply at all.
Factors like needles, thread weights, backing, fabric, machine speed, embroidery layers , density, underlay and the number of characters in use all affect what you may perceive to be the recommended usable height.
The most practical guide is always 'common sense' when you consider that embroidery has so many relative factors.
The simplest change from one fabric to another , or even just a change in angle may dictate that you modify lettering parameters.
Good lettering does not just 'appear'...it is carefully considered in the design process, and it takes practice and skill to be able to modify your lettering well, whatever software you may use.
*Note - Available fonts are for ES2006 upward.
If you have a lower level, V6 upward: it is possible to get the font you need, but will take a bit of time as I need to use older software at an external company.
Whether you need a custom styled font, namedrops or require a special lettering setup, you can find out what may suit your needs.
